Conscious Living for KIDS:

Peaceful Warriors 6-week class series with Diane Clement

(Ages 5-8) Wednesdays, 4:00-4:45 p.m. | September 7 to October 12
(Ages 9-12) Wednesdays, 5:00-5:45 p.m. | September 7 to October 12

pebbles stacked near pondPeaceful Warriors is a six-week course designed to build confidence, compassion, mindfulness, self-expression, and many other health benefits for your kids. Kids are taught how to be consciously aware of their movements, breathing, and mindset while bringing greater awareness to themselves and their environment.

The instructor Diane guides kids in how to consciously practice yoga and other physical exercises, and experience the benefits they have for their bodies, minds, and spirits. Throughout the practice, Diane encourages children to breathe peace, love, and acceptance into their hearts.

Through stories and a “Peaceful Pebbles” activity (involving small stones that Diane has hand-painted with inspirational words), she will guide your children on an amazing journey that they will take with them for life.

All Levels Meditation Class Begins!

Wednesdays, beginning September 7 | 7:30-8:30 p.m.

MeditationIn All Levels Meditation, each week you will learn the benefits of meditation, how to cultivate a regular meditation practice, and the essentials for any meditation practice, including correct posture and breath work. Through this class, you’ll discover how to cultivate mindfulness, as well as learn tips to work with difficulties and practices to help find peace.

Mediumship: Connecting with Spirit

Thursdays, 7:30-9:00 p.m. | September 8-29

Tara DearbornThe focus of this 4-week class series is to teach you specific techniques and exercises you can use to support and further develop your abilities and to learn what potential abilities you may have. Each class will include a guided meditation. Following the meditation there will be an open discussion about our experiences.

The class series will include topics such as:

  • The difference between mediumship and psychic mediumship
  • The difference between the 6 Cs of mediumship: Clairvoyance, Clairsentience, Clairaudience, Clairalience, Clairgustance, and Claircognizance
  • Grounding and protecting yourself
  • Meditation skills
  • Connecting to the spirit
  • Building confidence and discovering your potential
  • How to validate a reading
  • Spiritual development and growth

Chanting Sanskrit Mantra: The Yoga of Sound

HeidiIn this Mantra class, we will learn how to quiet the mind through the use of Sanskrit mantra. The word mantra can be translated as “tool of the mind,” “instrument of thought,” or “divine speech.” Chanting in Sanskrit can help reduce anxiety, open intuition, and help you feel peaceful and energized. In this ongoing class, you will learn mantras for creativity, peace, abundance, and healing. A book with phonetic spellings for easy pronunciation of each mantra and its use, along with suggestions for your own personal practice, will be included.

Expressive Arts Workshop

with Wanda Lipson
Saturday, 1:00-2:30 p.m. | September 10

mandala3Practice the simple, mindful exercise of creating a mandala while you are led through guided muscle and breathing relaxations.

Used in Buddhist and Hindu traditions for meditative purposes, mandalas are made by repeating patterns in a circular motion. We adapt this tradition as an expressive art exercise that is highly therapeutic for people of all ages. Learn more about mandalas here.

At the end of the workshop, you can take home your beautiful, self-affirming creations on an organic and environmentally sound medium. No artistic ability or experience is necessary. Wanda will lead you through the process—you’ll be surprised at what you can create.

Sound Healing

with Soundscapers
2nd Saturdays monthly, 3:00-4:30 p.m. | September 10

Joe, Sound HealerCome join us as Soundscapers builds a cathedral of exquisite sound and tone in this group sound healing practice. Lay back and be bathed in chant, guided imagery, the didgeridoo, the shruti box, trance Native American drumming and flute, and over a dozen crystal quartz and Tibetan sound bowls. You’ll feel released, relaxed, rejuvenated, and literally re-tuned.

Yoga mats, blankets, and pillows will be provided, or you may bring your own.

Laughter Yoga

with Bill & Linda Hamaker
4th Saturdays monthly, 1:00-2:00 p.m. | September 24

144Laughter Yoga encourages playfulness, deep belly laughs, social connection, and a balance of mind, body, and spirit. It combines laughter exercises and clapping with yoga breathing. This brings more oxygen to the body and the brain which makes one feel more energetic and healthy.

There are no poses or postures in Laughter Yoga. All ages and physical ability levels can participate, as you can sit or stand. No experience or yoga mat is necessary. Please just bring water to drink.

In this experiential workshop, instructor Lisa Campbell will guide you through meditations designed specifically to cultivate gratitude in your heart. We will investigate what real gratitude means and learn ways in which we can foster daily gratitude through mindfulness. Bring a journal, pen, and a photo(s) of someone you are grateful for in your life. Suitable for all levels and ages.
